The Primary School number 110 is a Polish school with 230 pupils and 37 workers. This school is situated in Łódź - third biggest city in Poland. Łódź is fast developing industrial centre situated in the center of Poland. http://www.eurofolklore-erasmusplus.eu

Our pupils are 6 to 12 years old and they stay at school for 6 years (younger and older course). There are about 25 pupils in each class. Our school supports comprehensive progress of clever children as well as those coming from poor families. Organizing school competition "Guess the folk costume"
http://www.eurofolklore-erasmusplus.eu There was a school competition "Quess the polish folk costume". All participants had to quess the name of polish folk costume, hearing the description in English. The person who was the fastest to say it, won the competition. The winner is Marcel Chałaj. The competition committee consisted of Anna Szydzisz and Anna Sadowy. The visit in skansen with history lesson about one region Pupils from II - VI year, who are the members of the Regional Club, went to Chorzów. They visited the Upper Silesian Ethnographic Park. THE JOURNEY TO ETNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM Our pupils visited the Archeological and Etnographic Museum in Łódź. There was the permanent exhibition "Grey as ground, coloured as memory devoted the man, and creation of the village culture during interwar period, in the central Poland".

ERASMUS+ CALENDARS In September 2016 pupils from classes IV, V, VI with art teacher M. Posłajko and pupils from classes I, II, III along with educators performed Erasmus+ calendars.

VISIT IN ARCHAEOLOGICAL AND ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM IN ŁÓDŹ In a school year 2016/2017, in order to develop knowledge about folk tradition and culture, pupils from classes III visited Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum in Łódź. Pupils met ethnographer, who introduced them to the subject of forgotten occupations. These jobs are very valuable because of their history and folk artistic quality. In villages as well as in towns, we can not meet many representatives of these kinds of occupations. ...

Pupils from Primary School no 110 took part In art. Workshop ‘Unikatum’ in Pabianice on 19th November 2016. The excursion was organized as a part of actions in Erasmus+ Programme. Our pupils found out about traditional craft workshop. The programme of activities was especially prepared for our children. They had an opportunity to develop manual skills and artistic sensitivity. Modeling in clay, designing dishes like ‘oil lamp’ for salt and pepper, was a perfect fun for every participant. Children left ‘Unikatum’ with unique dishes, which can be used for every day usage for example in kitchen or as a souvenir of spending nice and useful time there.  Videoclip In November, according to cooperation with Public Library no 2 at Natalii street, there was an exhibition presenting our children’s art of works. RECIPES BOOK Pupils of VI and IV classes prepared multimedia cook books as part of the project Erasmus+ “Small explorers in magical world of European Folk Culture”. These works were created during IT facilities, younger pupils made text documents. All presentations had photos and national recipes. Some of them included comprehensive set of dishes from one country, others were cross – cutting and related to dishes of all countries. There were also thematic works, for example desserts. Pupils, preparing these books, learnt about national culinary tastes and practised computer skills.

February 2017 - June 2017

THE RECORDING OF ERASMUS+ LEGENDS On the turn of March/April 2017 students of classes: IIIa and IVa took place in the recording of two legends: “Wars and Sawa”, “Legend of the Dragon of Wawel”. Besides their acting talents, students had the abilities to show Polish folk dances and sing folk songs. Everything was recorded in a digital and mp4 formats. The project supervisors are: Monika Posłajko – art teacher, Małgorzata Ziajska – Polish teacher and Bogusława Banul – early education teacher. Translators are: Gabryjela Małagowska and Anna Sadowy.

FOLK PAINTING In June, during art lesson, students prepared the art work "Folk painting". Folk painting is a very old form of expression. It is a way of expressing thoughts, feelings and even has a religious functions. Folk painting continues traditions of cultural places and regions.

Teachers have required qualifications and knowledge in order to teach about folk culture. "All life is a school" - the words of Jan Amos Komeński is our school mission. This words obligate us to teach our pupils how to learn through the entire life. Our mission is to prepare pupils for managing their knowledge, to enhance readiness to take challenges, innovative activities, self-confidence and awaking passion for learning.

Our school vision is preparing for learning for the whole life. It develops innovated and creative activities. They are effective in teaching, up - bringing and protection levels. Work quality, its measurement and analysis show further activity directions. It prepars for gaining or transforming information and being critical or creative receiver. Our school is a modern one and high qualified teachers. We bring our pupils up in a spirit of truth, kindness, beauty, pride, empathy, tolerance. We also build up personal responsibility, patriotism or cultural heritage respect. Our school is opened for changes and known as a good one. It is an active partner for foreign schools.

The success of our school mission and vision depends on making such a partner project as "Small explorers in a magic world of the European folk culture".

In 2012/2013 our school realized goverment programme of building up pupil's and teachers' competence in the range of using ICT technology "Digital school".

Thanks to this programme we are equipped with modern teaching resourses, which make working in the project easier for us (laptops for pupils and teachers, interactive boards, multifunctional devises, Wi - Fi Internet, visualizer).

Every year we make internal evaluation of taking activities in educational, up bringing and management areas.

Pupils graduate our school with very good results, certified by national exam at the end of the primary school.

Our school education is a happy adventure, not only school obligation. That is why the project takes our pupils in the past and then they will learn with passion and interest. The knowledge will be cherfull and creative. In future they will be prepared to be responsible for their life and European Community.
